En líneas generales, Asus Eee Keyboard es un dispositivo que innova al incorporar un ordenador de ultima generación bajo un periférico tan común como es un teclado. Sus principales y más llamativas funcionalidades se centran, sobre todo, en lo que la reproducción multimedia se refiere, además de como ordenador de salón.
La pantalla es de muy buena calidad, aunque tiene sus pros y sus contras dentro de los posibles usos que la propia Asus le quiere dar. Por ejemplo, la conexión con el monitor nos dio algunos problemas, mientra que la interfaz especifica y adaptada funciono a la perfección, aunque fallo en determinadas ocasiones.
El prototipo que ha presentado Asus en el CES no representa, a nivel conceptual, una novedad significativa, pues otros ya lo han mostrado antes. Pero si llega a buen puerto si será el primero en mucho tiempo que llega de la mano de un fabricante conocido.

De momento no han ofrecido demasiados datos y especificaciones de este ordenador, pues se trata de un prototipo, aunque Asus tiene toda la intención de comercializarlo. Eso sí, probablemente tendrá que esperar un tiempo, al menos hasta que el HDMI inalámbrico coja más calado. La idea es que los cables sobran y cuantos menos haya por el medio mejor.
Como forma adicional de control y de visualización, el Asus Eee Keyboard incorpora una pantalla de 5 pulgadas, que sirve para gestionar algunas de las funciones del ordenador, y también como trackpad al ser táctil. Un concepto interesante que no me extrañaría ver a la venta antes de finales de año.

Unos años atrás se presentó un prototipo muy similar, en realidad bastante menos atractivo, pero lamentablemente no tengo en la cabeza el nombre del fabricante ni nada.
Entre sus prestaciones encontramos un procesador Intel Atom a 1,6 GHz, 1 GB de RAM y un disco SSD de 16GB o 32GB. Posee además dos puertos USB, salida VGA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth y salidas y entradas de audio. El Eee Keyboard es retroiluminado.
Del lado derecho, el Eee Keyboard posee una pantalla táctil de 5’’, la cual permite controlar distintas funciones de esta extraña ultraportátil. Se desconoce si funciona como un segundo monitor o si realmente se lo podrá aprovechar para correr todas las aplicaciones.
Tiene un precio cercano a los u$s400, aunque existirá una versión con HDMI inalámbrico por unos u$s600.

El Asus Eee Keyboard en realidad no ha empezado a distribuirse todavía. Pero ahora que está disponible para pre-orden , la gente Netbook News se encontró con algunas personas en Asus para ver y detallar el producto al por menor , y luego, obviamente mostrarnos el unboxing.
Básicamente, junto con el teclado tenemos el cable de carga, un cable HDMI, y un receptor de ultra banda ancha para la transmisión de señales de vídeo HDMI de su teclado a un televisor o monitor.
